ABOUT THE K9 UNIT
Established to provide a rapid-response shield for our wildlife, our specialised team consists of handlers and tracker bloodhounds and an ammunition detection spaniel. These dogs can follow a poacher’s scent for up to 30 kilometers through thick bush, even hours after a trail has gone cold.
By adopting the K9 Unit, you are supporting the 14 handlers and their four-legged partners who work day and night to sniff out illegal weapons, track suspects, and protect our rhino populations.
