Recent breakthroughs from the Biorescue Project have instilled a renewed sense of hope for the functionally extinct northern white rhino.

Najin and Fatu are the last two known northern white rhinos on the planet, but significant news from the BioRescue Project has ignited a spark of hope. The revival of the species is the sum of many different parts involving a plethora of people, and the critical role of Ol Pejeta cannot be overstated.

Our caretakers are responsible for Najin and Fatu’s daily comfort and health, our security is responsible for their 24/7 protection, our vets are responsible for their health and treating medical issues and our logistics are responsible for maintaining and upgrading fencing and state-of-the-art surveillance.

Funds raised from Rhino Recovery will be utilised where they are needed most to support these teams, propelling us closer towards the prospect of welcoming a northern white rhino calf.
