Running? Rhinos? Conservation? Yes, please!
In 2018, ForRangers and Ol Pejeta Conservancy pioneered the first virtual ultra in Kenya. Enlisting participants from all over the world, the marathon was 1,245 km long and traced a virtual route between Kenya’s rhino parks and conservancies.
Also in 2018, the world''''s last male northern white rhino died at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, leaving only 2 females of the species left on the planet.
For 2019 I have decided to participate in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy''''s virtual ultra marathon, committing to 1,245 kilometers (the track between Kenya''''s rhino sanctuaries) within the next 365 days, aiming to raise USD $1,000. This money will go directly to help the rangers who protect our last rhinos. My small contribution to the overwhelming position we''''ve put our planet in because doing nothing isn''''t really an option.
Thanks in advance for supporting a good cause and let''''s see where the next year of running takes me!
